What are your favorite genres?

In order of my least favorite (but still very much enjoyed) to my most favorite. "Chick Lit (A soft spot in my heart for "The Help"), Historical, Historical Fiction (started with "The Alienist" way back) Textbooks on any subject that's caught my eye in a given month or three, or textbooks I ignored in classes where the professor was more interesting, Mysteries (mixed w/ Historical especially. I like the series on Gordianus the Finder!), Fantasy and Science Fiction. But I could def. do with expanding my interests.

What's the last book you read?

The latest book I listened to all the way through would be "The Human Division" by John Scalzi.

Do you use Goodreads (

Kind of? I don't update my goodreads profile all that frequently, but I do benefit from goodreads reviews.

Infrequent book club member - I am perhaps a bit easily distracted. But this is a rather smart group, and the discussions, every time, have been enlightening.
