If you have crypto trading experience, you have surely heard about futures and options by now. These two types of financial instruments enable new ways to profit (or quite the opposite) from the volatile
crypto markets. For example, thanks to futures, you can not only earn value if the prices go up, but also if markets are bearish. Moreover, you can use leverage, hedge the price risk associated with holding crypto/tokens, and make use of lower transaction fees compared to spot trading.

To help us learn the fine details of futures and options trading, as well as the risks associated with them, we have invited Nikolay Lavrenov, an Account Manager at the popular crypto exchange Kraken.

Nikolay will take the stage to explain what crypto futures and options are and how long have they been around, explore the different types of futures contracts, and share some basic rules associated with trading these types of instruments.

In addition to Nikolay’s contribution, we will have Alexander Zahariev, Founder of, talking about his blockchain based lottery game currently running on the Ethereum’s Ropsten testnet. The game uses series of smart contracts to pick winners and to give away limited non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to every participant in the game. Aleksandar will make a quick demo on how to play the game. He will demonstrate the transparency of the lottery by exploring the transactions on the public blockchain.

You will be able to ask questions during the Q&A session at the end.
