Get Involved in Solar Energy Planning!

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is seeking public input on solar energy development on public lands. Please speak up on this important issue!

The BLM has prepared a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) in order to evaluate lands across Arizona that may be suitable for renewable energy development. In order to minimize impacts to the environment, they propose to identify Renewable Energy Development Areas with few resource conflicts. including previously disturbed lands, such as landfills or old mine sites, as well as one Solar Energy Zone for utility-scale (greater than 20 MW) solar development.
