55 plus yoga
Grow Young with yoga for 55 plus age group, Tuesday’s 1:30pm to 2:45pm A gentle yoga program to increase your strength, flexibility and balance through the healing power of movement. You will be introduced to a variety of foundational poses (asanas) as well as breathing practices (pranayama) and meditation.
Instructor Melanie Anderson is a certified Hatha yoga teacher specializing in teaching older adults. She is a senior herself and has experienced many of the health issues affecting this age group.
Class size is small and is a non-threatening environment suitable for seniors who are new or experienced in yoga practice. Please bring a yoga mat, water bottle and wear comfortable clothing.
