Learn How to 3D Print

You made a design, but what now? You can make your idea tangible with the help of a 3D printer! This production equipment of the future builds up any object layer by layer automatically producing real physical objects from your computer.

In this introductory workshop (instructed in English) you will be instructed how to use the 3D printers at SSD.  We'll run through the exact steps to turn your idea into a tangible item and you get to go home with a 3D printed Trinket (if there are enough for everybody)!  We'll cover:

• Using the 3D Printers at SSD

• 3D Printer Startup

• Obtaining 3D CAD designs (files) from CAD software or the Incredible Interwebs

• Converting CAD designs to GCode

• Controlling the 3D Printer with Octoprint

• Uploading and Printing GCode Files

Level Pre-requisites :
None, suited for all levels.
