We are the biggest and pride our self in being the best travel meetup, with lots of travel expertise and experience of organising trips, with nearly 19,000 members and the best choice of destinations. Join us for 6 days of non-stop fun in vibrant New Orleans, the birthplace of jazz. Discover the city’s spiritual core as you wander through the beautiful French Quarter, where New Orleans first began back in 1718. Visit the Whitney and Laura Plantations and take an eye-opening look into America’s past. The Whitney Plantation is the only plantation museum in Louisiana with a focus on slavery, and at the Laura Plantation, you will learn of real-life accounts by the slaves, owners, women and children who lived and died there. And of course, no trip to New Orleans would be complete without listening to some jazz. Whilst you really are spoilt for choice for places to enjoy this music, we think listening as you cruise down the Mississippi River in the evening might just clinch it. Saturday 18th May 2019 - Arrive New Orleans Upon arrival in New Orleans you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. Dinner will be arranged for your first night in this vibrant city. Sunday 19th May - New Orleans French Quarter Tour This morning we will begin our tour of the French Quarter, including Jackson Square, St Louis Cathedral, The Cabildo, Pirates Alley, William Faulkner House, Tenessee Williams House and lots more. The afternoon will be spent at your leisure. Maybe you will go for a wander round the French Market, or relax in a coffee shop and try the delicious Beignets. Monday 20th May - New Orleans Whitney & Laura Plantation Tour Today we will do the Whitney and Laura Plantation Tour. Your evening meal will be arranged in The Famous Frenchman Street. Tuesday 21st May - New Orleans Free Day / Jazz Cruise Today you will spend the day at your leisure, we will then leave early evening for the Jazz Cruise down the Mississippi River. New York City. If you’ve never been, you need to go. And what better to way to explore this diverse metropolis than with a bunch of solo travellers looking to do the same. New York is home to some of the best art museums in the world; the Guggenheim and the Met to name a few, its dining and nightlife scene is better than you will have ever imagined, and let’s not forget the sheer volume of immense architectural delights this city has to offer – we guarantee you’ll be leaving NYC with a crook in your neck from gazing up in awe as you walk through this concrete jungle. We’ll be staying in the centre of it all of course, visiting all the sights in Manhattan you’ve long dreamed of experiencing; The Empire State Building, Times Square, the Statue of Liberty. But we’ll also be taking you to see the real New York. A whole day trip dedicated to the other boroughs that fall under New York’s state. Thursday 23 May 2019 - Day 1 – Arrive New York Upon arrival, make your way to the hotel for check-in which will be from 2pm. Today is an arrival day and there are no planned activities, so will be spent at your leisure. In the evening, a dinner will be arranged. Overnight in Manhattan. Day 2 – New York Sightseeing Today we’ll head out to one of the local diners for breakfast and afterwards we’ll begin our sightseeing tour of the city. We’ll visit bustling Times Square, teeming with bright lights and colourful billboards, the impressive Flatiron Building, one of the city’s most iconic buildings, and of course a trip to the top of the Empire State Building to admire the incredible views over the city. We’ll also see the Statue of Liberty, Madison Square Garden and many more of the city’s landmarks. Dinner will be arranged for the evening. Day 3 – New York Boroughs After another breakfast at one of the local diners or coffee shops, we’ll be leaving Manhattan and starting our tour of New York’s other boroughs. We’ll be visiting the trendy area of Brooklyn, the home of hip-hop The Bronx, the city’s largest borough Queens, and finally we’ll head back to Manhattan to visit Harlem, the home of jazz and an excellent area for nightlife. Dinner will be arranged for the evening. Day 4 – New York Free Day Today will be spent at your leisure for further sightseeing. Georgia and Armenia - 12 Amazing Days - 24th May 2019

Explore Armenia, a country laced in history, covered in medieval monasteries and blessed with incredible landscapes, and Georgia, the birthplace of wine, with churches and fortresses scattered amidst the stunning scenery, and locals so welcoming you’d think you were one of the family. Join other Solo Travellers as you travel through two of Eurasia’s most beautiful countries on this amazing 13-day Georgia & Armenia Tour. Admire the ancient architecture as you travel through Georgia, marvel at Armenia’s mountainous countryside, experience life in Yerevan, the city of contrasts, and explore the spruced up city of Tbilisi – making sure you pay a visit to the Narikala Fortress, from where this picturesque capital can really be appreciated. (DEPART 23rd MAY) Day 1 - Friday 24th May – Yerevan Today you will wake up refreshed after a good night's sleep, ready to start your city tour. Yerevan, the Armenian capital, is a city of contrasts; clapped out old bangers cruise next to brand new Mercedes, whilst old-fashioned teahouses run next to upmarket wine bars. Your city tour will cover Republic Square, the Opera House, and the Cascade, as well as a visit to the Monument devoted to the Statehood of Armenia, where you will have a great view over the city centre and Mount Ararat. You will also visit the Manuscript Museum. A welcome dinner will be arranged at a traditional Armenian restaurant with folk music for the evening. Overnight in Yerevan. Day 2 – Yerevan After breakfast, drive towards Echmiadzin to see the Armenian Apostolic Church. In the afternoon you will have some free time to further explore Yerevan. Overnight in Yerevan. Day 3 – Yerevan / Garni / Geghard Monastery / Lake Sevan / Dilijan After breakfast, we will check-out of the hotel and continue towards Garni village. We will visit a Pagan Temple of Garni from 1st century AD, the only one remaining from the pre-Christian period in Armenia. The Temple is located on a triangular cape overlooking the deep canyon of the Azat River. It is possible to organize a 1-2 hour walk through the canyon of Garni to see the amazing volcanic rock formations if you wish. We will then visit the unique medieval monastery of Geghard, which is included in the list of UNESCO world heritage sites. Some chambers of the monastery are carved out of solid rock and possess exceptional acoustics. Lunch in the village house with lavash-baking process (Armenian traditional bread). Our next stop will be the “Pearl of Armenia”, Lake Sevan. After visiting the Sevanavank or Mariamashen Monasteries, located on the peninsular of the lake, we will continue our journey through the beautiful rolling valleys to Dilijan, where we will spend the night. Day 4 – Southern Armenia After breakfast we will check-out of the hotel and make a visit to Noratus Village where we will explore a field with hundreds of Armenian Cross-Stones (Khachkars). From here, visit Selim Caravansary, a very well-preserved monument from the 14th century that provides spectacular views of the mountain range beyond. After lunch, you will continue to the Khndzoresk Village, a historic place with very interesting caves and mysterious rocks. Continue the drive to Goris Town, where you will spend the night. Day 5 – Goris / Tatev / Noravank / Yerevan After breakfast at the hotel, you will visit the Tatev Monastery, accessed by the ‘Wings of Tatev’ cable-car. You will have incredible views of the Valley of Vorotan River. Driving back towards Yerevan, we will stop at the Noravank Monastery, famed for its medieval architecture and located in a picturesque gorge, this really is a great place of natural beauty and provides wonderful opportunities for taking photos! After lunch, we will be visiting the Khor-Virap Monastery, located on the Armenian-Turkish border with spectacular views of Mount Ararat. You will then stop at a small wine-factory to enjoy a wine-tasting session. Overnight in Yerevan. Day 6 – Yerevan / Gyumri / Vardzia After breakfast, you will be checking-out of the hotel and heading to Armenia’s second largest city, Gyumri, to walk around the historical district of Kumayri. After lunch, you will begin the journey to the Georgian border and continue towards Vardzia’s Cave Town, the most impressive and biggest cave town monastery in Georgia. Overnight in Vardzia. Day 7 – Vardzia / Borjomi / Tbilisi After breakfast, we will be checking-out of the hotel and visiting Rabat Castle, an impressive, newly-renovated, medieval castle complex, before continuing our journey to Borjomi, a town famous for producing mineral water. Today we will also visit Uplistsikhe Cave Town, which is considered to be one of the oldest urban settlements in Georgia. If time permits, we will also visit Gori, the birthplace of Stalin. Overnight in Tbilisi. Day 8 – Tbilisi After breakfast, you will begin your city tour of Tbilisi. Starting at the Sameba Cathedral, the city’s main cathedral, heading to Meteki Church, set in the historic neighbourhood of Meteki, from here you will take the cable car to the Narikala Fortress, which dominates the old towns skyline. Expect amazing views over the capital from the top. You will also visit Abanotubani, Peace Bridge, Rike Park and wander down the old town streets. Overnight in Tbilisi. Day 9 – Tbilisi / Kakheti After breakfast, we will drive to the Kakheti Region, ‘the cradle of wine’. We will visit a local wine house in the Kakheti Village, where you will not only learn about the history of Georgian wine, but also the process. We will also participate in a Kakhetian bread-making masterclass, where you will learn to make traditional Georgian sweets known as ‘churchkhela’. You will also be tasting some of the local wines and have a traditional lunch made from fresh local produce. After lunch, we will head to Sighnaghi, a small but amazing town, surrounded by the beautiful Alazani Valley. Dinner will be back in Tbilisi at a local Georgian restaurant with folk dancing and music. Overnight in Tbilisi. Day 10 – Tbilisi / Jvari / Kazbegi / Tbilisi After breakfast, we will be driving up into the mountains, stopping on the way to visit the Jvari Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located at the top of a hill with spectacular views of two rivers below; the Mtkvari and Aragvi. Our next stop will be at the Zhinvali Water Dam to enjoy more amazing views and visit the Ananuri Castle Complex. From here, we will travel to Kazbegi, where we will go by Jeep to visit the highlight of the Kazbegi region; the Gergeti Church. In the evening, we will head back to Tbilisi, where you will spend the night. Day 11 – Tbilisi / Mtksheta / Tbilisi After breakfast, we will drive to Mtksheta, a UNESCO world heritage site and the ancient capital of the Georgian Iberian Kingdom. Overnight in Tbilisi. Day 12 - Tuesday 4th June – Depart Tbilisi After breakfast, you will check-out of the hotel and have some free time before your transfer to the airport for international flights home. Beautiful Bergen & The Fjords - Bank Holiday - 24 May 2019 - 3 nights

Surrounded by marvellous mountains and famous fjords, the city of Bergen is a place of real beauty. Join other Solo Travellers on this long weekend in one of Norway’s most picturesque destinations. Discover the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bryggen, full of old cobbled streets and colourful wooden houses along the waterfront. Take the Fløibanen Funicular to the top of one of Bergen’s many hills for spectacular views over the city. And of course, journey through the awe-inspiring Fjords of Norway by boat. This incredible city is also known for its incredible food and art scenes – culture vultures rejoice! Friday 24 May - Day 1 – Arrive Bergen (DY[masked]MAY LGW BGO[masked]) Upon arrival in Bergen, you will be transferred to the hotel for check-in. After you have checked-in you will begin a 3-hour city tour of beautiful Bergen. You will start at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bryggen, with its brightly painted houses on the water front, and work your way along old cobbled streets, passed old wooden houses to the Bergen Fortress area. If you have anything in particular that you want to see, the guide will tailor the tour to suit your interests. Saturday 25 May - Day 2 – Bergen After breakfast at the hotel, you will have the rest of the day at leisure. Dinner will be arranged for the evening. Sunday 26 May - Day 3 – Bergen & The Fjords After breakfast at the hotel, you will be taken on a full-day tour of Bergen’s surrounding area, to experience Norway’s beautiful fjord scenery. From Bergen, you will catch an early train to the traditional village of Voss, from here, you will take a bus to the popular village of Gudvangen, and then marvel at the incredible landscape as you are taken by boat to Flåm, home to the Flåm-Railway and Museum. In the afternoon, you will take the Flåm-Railway to Myrdal before finally catching the train back to Bergen. Dinner will be arranged for the evening.
