Join other Solo Travellers on this 8-day tour travelling from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and everywhere in between. Explore the vibrant modern city of Tel Aviv, renowned for its exciting art galleries, chic cafes and beautiful beaches, the nearby areas of Tagbah, Haifa and Nazareth, and take a trip to the Sea of Galilee for a boat ride on Israel’s largest fresh water lake. Travel to Jerusalem, an Old City full of attractions. From here, make day trips to Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus, to Jericho, a 10,000-year-old city still inhabited today, and float to your heart’s content in the world’s saltiest body of water on your visit to the Dead Sea. 17th March 2018 - Day 1 – Arrive Tel Aviv
Upon arrival, you will be met by your guide and taken to your hotel for check-in. Dinner will be arranged for your first night.
Day 2 – Nazareth / Cana / Mt. Tabor
After breakfast at the hotel, you will start the day with a visit to the Annunciation Church in Nazareth. From here, you will visit the St. Joseph the Carpenter Church and Mary’s Well and Springs, before travelling to Cana, to see the Church of Cana, where Jesus performed his first miracle; the transformation of water into wine. You will then proceed on to Mt. Tabor, the site of the transfiguration of Jesus. Afterwards, we'll head to our hotel for dinner.
Day 3 – Mt. of Beatitudes / Sea of Galilee / Capernaum
After breakfast, you will proceed to Mt. of Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered the sermon on the mount. Next you will travel to the Tabgah region, to visit the Church of the Multiplication of Fish & Loaves, and then onto St. Peters Primacy, before enjoying a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. From here, you will continue to Capernaum, where Jesus lived and healed the sick by preaching in the synagogue and performing miracles. You will also visit the House of Peter. Back to the hotel for dinner.
Day 4 – Haifa / Caesarea / Tel Aviv Jaffa / Jerusalem
After breakfast, begin your journey to the beautiful city of Haifa to ascend Mt. Carmel to enjoy panoramic views over the bay. From here, you will visit Stella Maris and the Cave of Alia, as well as the Muhraka Monastery and the Hanging Gardens of the Bahai Shrine. Next, travel to Caesarea to visit the water aqueduct, the Roman theatre, the hippodrome and the crusaders fortress before heading to Tel Aviv Jaffa, an ancient port in the oldest part of Tel Aviv. From here, you will proceed to Jerusalem and stop to enjoy panoramic views of the city before dinner.
Day 5 – Mt. of Olives / Mt. Zion / Ein Karem / Bethlehem
After breakfast, proceed to the Mt. of Olives and visit the Church of Ascention, the Peter Noster Church, and the Dominos Flevit Church, where Jesus wept over Jerusalem. Continue to the Garden of Gethsemane and onto Mt. Zion to visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, King David’s Tomb, and the Dormition Abbey. Travel to Ein Karem to visit St. John the Baptist Church and the Church of Visitation, before heading to Bethlehem to visit the Nativity Church; the birthplace of Jesus Christ. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 6 – Jerusalem
Today you will be exploring the Old City of Jerusalem. Starting at the Dung Gate, you will then visit the Wailing Wall, the Area of the Mosque built on Mt. Moriah, and then walk the ‘Way of the Cross’, the route which many believe Jesus walked on the way to his crucifixion. You will also visit the Holy Sepulcher Church and the Empty Tomb of Jesus Christ. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7 – Bethany / Jericho / The Dead Sea
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Bethany to visit the House of Mary & Martha, and the Tomb of Lazarus. You will then travel to Jericho, the oldest town in the Holy Land, to visit the Sycamore Tree; the tree that Zacharious the tax collector climbed to view Jesus. Whilst here, you will also visit the Mt. of Temptation before continuing your journey to the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on earth at 400m below sea level, to swim in the minerally rich waters. You will then head back to the hotel for dinner.
Day 8 – Depart Jerusalem
After breakfast, you will be transferred back to Tel Aviv to Ben Gurion Airport for international flights home.

The price of the above tour is £[masked] sharing a twin room (single supplement £299.00) and does not include flights from the UK. We have both ATOL and TTA bonding for all trips for complete financial protection. Any trips that include flights are ATOL bonded whereas tours without flights are TTA bonded. Please get in touch, if you would like help with the booking of flights. (Please do not book your flights until we have at least 5 people confirmed so please pay deposits at your earliest!) A non refundable deposit of £200.00 via bank transfer (or £210 via PayPal) will secure you a place. Book by 31st August 2017. Please check for any price increase after this date. UK Passport holders do not need a visa to enter Israel but please ensure you have 6 months validity on your passport.
Please note that a check-in time of 14.00 is typical at most hotels. If you are arriving on an early flight, please let us know if you would like the room to be booked from the night before (for an additional cost) to ensure that the room is available for you when you arrive.
