Depart LHR Tuesday 27 March – overnight flight to Tashkent
DAY 1 - Wednesday 28 March - Arrive Tashkent
Arrival to Tashkent. Transfer to hotel, accommodation (check-in from 8am included), breakfast and rest. Sightseeing tour in Tashkent with visits to Khast Imam Complex, Chorsu Bazaar and Kukeldash Madrasah. Visit to the new part of city: Mustakillik Square (Independence Square), Museum of Applied Arts, Alisher Navoi Theater and square, Amir Temur Monument and Square.
DAY 2 - Thursday 29 March - Tashkent / Urgench / Khiva
Transfer to airport for flight to Urgench leaving at 07:00, arrival to Urgench at 08:40. Meet and transfer to Khiva (30 minutes’ drive). Accommodation in hotel and sightseeing in Khiva: Kunya-Ark fortress, including Kurinish Khana (17c); Mohammed-Amin-Khan(19c) Madrassah, Islam Khodja Minaret; Palvan-Kari complex, Mohammed Rakim Khan (19 c), Sho-I-Kalandar Bobo Mausoleum, Uch Avlioli («three saints») Mausoleum, Jami Mosque(18c), Kutluq-Murad Inaq (19c) Madrassah, Pakhlavan Mahmoud Mausoleum, Tash Hauli («stone yard») Palace, Alla-Kuli-Khan (18c), Arab Mohammed Khan (18 c) Madrassahs.
DAY 3 - Friday 30 March - Khiva / Ayaz Kala / Toprak Kala / Khiva
Today we take a 1.5 hours’ one way drive to Khorezmian ruins of Ayaz kala and Toprak Kala to learn about the original historical town ruins of Khorezmian region. Later in the afternoon drive back to Khiva for a free afternoon and overnight in Khiva
DAY 4 - Saturday 31 March - Khiva / Bukhara
Transfer from Khiva to Bukhara (8 hours) crossing the Kyzylkum desert. Lunch in the roadside café. Arrival to Bukhara at approx. 16:00 hours. Accommodation and overnight in Bukhara.
DAY 5 - Sunday 01 April - Bukhara
Day of sightseeing in Bukhara: The Samanids Mausoleum, Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum, Kalyan Mosque, Kalyan Minaret, Miri-Arab Madrassah, Chor-Minor Madrassah, Modari-khan Madrassah, Ulugbek Madrassah, Lyabi-Hauz Architectural Complex, Magoki-Attori Mosque, Bolo-Khauz Mosque, Monumental Shopping Arcades, The Ark Fortress.
DAY 6 - Monday 02 April - Bukhara / Yangikazgan
Transfer to Yangikazgan town located in Kyzyk KUm dessert. On the way visit to Chashma in Nurata town. Arrival to Yurt Camp “Camel”, accommodation in yurts. Dinner by the fire.
DAY 7 - Tuesday 03 April - Yangikazgan / Samarkand
Transfer to Aydarkul Lake in the morning. Opportunity to have easy hiking by the lake, swimming opportunity depending on the weather conditions. Picnic lunch on top of the hill with the lake view. Afterwards transfer to Samarkand. Accommodation and overnight in Samarkand
DAY 8 - Wednesday 04 April - Samarkand
Day sightseeing tour in Samarkand: Registan Square, Guri-Amir Complex, Bibikhanum Mosque, Siyob local Bazaar, Shakhi Zinda Necropolis, Ulugbek Observatory, Afrosiabmuseum of the ancient town.
DAY 9 - Thursday 05 April - Samarkand / Tashkent
Morning in Samarkand to continue our tour and enjoy the local bazaar Siyob. Afternoon transfer t Tashkent and overnight in Tashkent
DAY 10 - Friday 06 April – Depart Tashkent for flight back to London
Morning tour of Tashkent and afternoon transfer to airport for return flight.
Cost of trip is just £999.00 and a non refundable deposit of £150.00 will secure your place(£150.00 via bank transfer and £156.00 via paypal to take into account their fees) . Single room is an extra £250.00. Trips sell out quickly as places are limited, so don’t miss out. Reserve your space on payment of just a deposit. On payment of deposit please email me with your full name as per passport and country of issue, together with your full address and postcode so that a financial protection certificate can be issued. We have both ATOL and TTA bonding for all trips for complete financial protection. Any trips that include flights are ATOL bonded whereas tours without flights are TTA bonded. A Visa is required for Uzbekistan and I can assist in getting this. You must have a validity of a minimum of 6 months on your passport from the date of arrival. Travel insurance is essential. ***Flights not included and are around £495.00 with Uzbekistan Airlines*** (please do not book until I give you the go ahead as we need a minimum of 5 people).
Please note that a check-in time of 14.00 is typical at most hotels. If you are arriving on an early flight, please let us know if you would like the room to be booked from the night before (for an additional cost) to ensure that the room is available for you when you arrive.
It may sometimes be necessary to make small, last-minute changes to our itineraries or hotels for reasons beyond our control. We will ensure that you are kept updated of any changes.
