What kinds of events/places do you like to photograph?

I love doing both traditional and illustrative portraits - studio and on location. Time permits me to only do a limited about of event photography. I love shooting landscapes (for more fun than profit... but hopefully changing that detail). I also teach both photography (lighting/composition) and photoshop 'for the portrait and fine art photographer. Night time... flashlight... you name it, if we can light it we can capture it!

What kind of equipment do you use?

Not BIG on equipment... I make what I have work quite well! That being said, I use a Canon 20D and carry a Rebel XSi for back-up. Lenses: most used is a Canon[masked]mm. I also use a Tamron[masked] f/2.8 Studio Lighting: White Lightnings with Larson Soft Boxes (3x4 & 4x6) Tripod: heavy but the easiest in the world to use ... Bogen/Manfrotto 3051 (automatic!) Printer: Epson 9600 using pigmented inks Paper: "Hahnemuhle" Photo Rag Satin, German Etching and Daguerre Canvas Editing and Enhancement: Adobe Lightroom2 and Photoshop CS3 Video Projector for sales Matte cutter and vacuum press for mounting/framing Favorite Plug-ins: LucisArt, Nik (Color Efex Pro3, Viveza2, Silver Efex Pro), OnOne PhotoFrame4.5

How would you describe your level of experience?

Professional and still learning. I owned my first studio in Toledo, Ohio[masked] I relocated and owned a studio in Davis, CA from[masked] I'm still settling into Glen Ellen with my loft studio above the Jack London Saloon 2009-currently

I LOVE photography... including the switch from film to digital. Photography has opened many new doors including my portrait/fine art studio, where I print up to 44"x90", above the historic Jack London Saloon in Glen Ellen. Come and visit.
