***This is a Virtual 4x4 Group*** The purpose of the group is to provide a semi orgainized forum for creating offroad adventure meetups. Particularly for people with road legal 4X4 off road vehicles. Some of the adventures may require a bit of highway driving to get there. And many will be point-to-point, non-loop.
Initially, we intend to schedule at least one meetup run per month, somewhere fairly close to Phoenix. There may be additional runs posted outside of the greater Phoenix area. As well as the possibility of overnight camping trips. It will all depend on how active each and every member becomes.
Since this is a Virtual club, there are no real rules, however there are certain guidelines:
1. When on the trail always remember to T.R.E.A.D. Lightly ( http://treadlightly.org/ )! *Travel and recreate with minimal impact. *Respect the environment and the rights of others. *Educate yourself, plan and prepare before you go. *Allow for future use of the outdoors, leave it better than youfound it. *Discover the rewards of responsible recreation.
2. Don't drink and drive. A cold one at the end of the trail is perfectly acceptable. Getting smashed while driving down the trail only gives 4 wheelers a bad reputation.
3. While taking part in one of our runs, please, do not engage in any type of target shooting. As for bringing along a firearm, if your situation allows for you to own, carry and/or transport a firearm legally, then not a problem to bring it along.
4. Please provide your First and Last name in your profile. You may also use both partners first names and a last name as well.
