What we're about
THE LODGE & YOU: BRIDGING GENERATIONS –CELEBRATING 100 YEARS IN 2010 Portland-based Sons of Norway Grieg Lodge was founded in 1910 and built its home, Norse Hall in 1928. We are an all-volunteer, non-profit fraternal organization with nearly 700 members, dedicated to supporting an array of social, cultural, educational and humanitarian pursuits connected with our community, and Norwegian and Scandinavian heritage – old and new! Grieg Lodge is like an extended family of all ages. Our bonds stretch from the past and into the future – with plenty going on right now. Working, playing and sharing meaningful time together adds multi-generational, cross-cultural dimension and support to busy or changing lives. You can get connected and build relationships through the range of social and cultural activities the Lodge has to offer: bridge, book clubs, bowling, cooking, kids activities, crafting, dancing, dining, films, golfing, hiking, helping, singing, and more. We’ve been Bridging Generations for a hundred years.
