Still Photography Workshop - The Magic of Photography Part III

Did you get a new Sony Alpha or NEX camera over the holiday season and now want to learn more about using it?

Sony of Canada has put together a workshop for first time photographers. This is the very basics of using your new digital still camera and is ideal for those photographers who are just starting out.

We're going to go over all the features of the Alpha and NEX including setting the ISO, setting the white balance, and setting the exposure, with the end goal of getting great images and enjoying your camera more.

This is a three part series. You need to sign up for each evening separately and we hope that you will enjoy all parts of the program. Bring your Sony Alpha or NEX camera each evening as well as memory cards.

There is no charge for this workshop but you must be a Sony camera user.

All three sessions were extremely well organized and informative for beginner photographers. I particularly enjoyed the use of iconic photographs in the presentations for the purpose of demonstrating various concepts of art and creativity. Thanks so much for all the hard work that was put in to making the sessions possible. Rob, Patrick & Isabelle - thanks for sharing your passion & knowledge with us.

Look forward to future events and please consider expanding the session to other cities to make them more accessible.

It was very informative and fun at the same time. In The Magic of Photography Part III, we continued how we can use lights as shutter in the darkness using long exposure; bulb mode, 30 sec mode.

the workshop was good, the only things that would have been nice to know, since in 1 and 2 we did not really use the camera, it would have been nice to know in this workshop we would be plus a tripod would have been good to have
