What we're about
Do you often wish you had more time or discipline to journal? Do you have a stack of journals you’ve collected over the years that remain blank inside because you are just not writing in them? If yes, then join us every third Tuesday of the month from 6:00-7:30pm for a journaling session. During these sessions, you will be invited to write in your journal for a set period of time, usually 20 minutes, based on a theme. You will also have opportunities to share about yourself with the group. The instructor will gather journaling themes from authors such as Natalie Goldberg, Julia Cameron, Anne Lamott, as well as others. Keeping some kind of diary / journal since her teens, Erin Chapman, is excited to practice journal writing with others in a supportive environment. She holds a BA in Creative Writing from Western Michigan University as well as a Master of Library and Information Science from Wayne State University. She’s pretty good at helping people find things, sometimes their keys, many times their library books, but her favorite thing to help find is another’s voice, and ultimately his or her truth. Please bring your own journal and writing instrument.
