What we're about

Soul Stories uses storytelling and dialogue to break social barriers and create real, human connection.

We are a story-based organization that promotes healing, empowerment, and social connectedness through a creative, community-building framework comprised of workshops, spaces, and events that address challenging topics impacting local communities. We have hosted over 100 experiential events and workshops since 2014; tackling race, ethnicity, gender, shame, beliefs, fear, self-love and others. Community members from various ethnicities, ages and gender have told their stories with courage and vulnerability.

We believe that honest human stories are at the foundation of meaningful relationships. By facilitating understanding, connection and respect through storytelling and dialogue, we have the potential to build communities that support the acceptance of everyone across racial, gender, sexual identity, and other differences. This is known and celebrated across cultures. It is this experience of coming face to face with our humanity and the humanity of others that nourishes our feelings of wholeness and connection.
