The Courtyard

------------------

TOTAL COST– R2,[masked] per person – Singles beds / == > Twin sharing - Cost includes all meals & activities on offer. / TOTAL COST– R2,[masked] per person – Double Beds - Couples / == > Twin sharing - Cost includes all meals & activities on offer

The courtyard rooms are new and modern, and are conveniently situated close to both the Meditation Hall and the main Dining Room. Each room is a twin, with an en suite bathroom. We have named them after the beautiful flowers growing in the garden: Orchid, Poppy, Fern, Wild Olive, Morning Glory, and Erica. Also on the Courtyard, is Garden Room, a luxurious double room, with a king-size bed, a Victorian bath and open plan bathroom. This beautifully restored building used to be the old dairy and has high ceilings with rustic wooden rafters and a working fireplace.

------------------

The Cloister

------------------

TOTAL COST– R2,[masked] per person – Singles beds in own room for a private stay / == > Not sharing – Cost includes all meals & activities on offer

Around a central courtyard, there are 14 beautiful rooms in total. The first six rooms, in the front section of The Cloister, share two showers and two toilets. Each room contains a bed, small cupboard space to hang clothes and side table. These rooms lead into an open plan living space that looks out across the gardens and labyrinth. The rooms at the back are rooms 7 – 14, each with a bed, side table, cupboard space and a basin each. These rooms share bathrooms: 3 showers and 3 toilets.

------------------

The Farmhouse

------------------

TOTAL COST– R2,[masked] per person – Singles beds. == > Down room sharing - Cost includes all meals & activities on offer

The Farmhouse is a beautifully restored home dating back to the 1820s. The Cape Dutch style architecture with low ceilings and cosy fireplaces will transport you back to a time when people sat down together for meals and gathered around the fireplace to share their stories at night.

Aloe Dorm and Daisy Dorm are 5-bed and 3-bed rooms. Aloe Dorm has its own fireplace, en suite bathroom with two showers and a separate entrance leading to the lush garden. Daisy Dorm has a bathroom across the passage.

Restio is a single room in the farmhouse with a window overlooking the back garden. This is our only single room and is in high demand.

Disa is a twin room with fireplace. Once the farmhouse kitchen, the room was perfectly renovated to create a peaceful space while still retaining the original room’s features.

Pincushion is our deluxe room with a Queen-size bed and en suite shower. This room is ideal for couples.

---------------------------------------------------------

Bodhi Khaya blends Buddhism with South African culture. ‘Bodhi’ means ‘awareness’ in Sanskrit and refers to the Buddha’s knowledge when he attained enlightenment 2500 years ago, while ‘khaya’ goes beyond its better-known meaning of ‘home’ to express a sense of belonging and a spiritual base.

Building on the traditions of our physical and spiritual ancestors, Bodhi Khaya is a spiritual haven for those on their journey to awakening.

===================================>

* Where ever possible we will share the Transport in getting there.

===================================>

Bodhi Khaya has accommodation to suit every need. Around the central courtyard they have a range of rooms that are comfortable, modern and peaceful. For those who enjoy a touch of history, the original farmhouse, steeped in atmosphere and old-world charm, has beautiful rooms where you can curl up with a good book beside a cozy fire. And for those who prefer to do their own thing can choose rooms a room to be on their own.

This meet-up group forms a combined part my websites http://www.intuitionwalks.com and www.awakening-intuition.com (http://www.awakening-intuitio.com) and the online Facebook section – https://www.facebook.com/groups/intuitionwalks . I have been offering these walks since 2004 and with a subscriber list in Cape Town of over 1500 people. This group offers a great alternative to meeting like-minded people.

===================================>

A reminder for those who have not been on the walks before, the walks are intended to be of such a nature that we are able to slow down and through our senses, experience some of the wonders that nature has to offer. The slowing down creates an opportunity for re-connection within. Not to mention seeing some of Cape Town’s magical spots. Normally 2 hours of the time allocated is set aside for breaks. This time out offers a great way to meet and connect with like-minded people who share similar interests

MORE INFO ABOUT YOUR STAY - http://www.bodhi-khaya.co.za/

A warm and open greeting awaits you when you arrive at Bodhi Khaya! We hope you enjoy your stay and feel completely at home during your time here.

We honour sustainable principles throughout the centre, as well as Buddhist philosophies of non-harmfulness. In doing so, we offer vegetarian food on all catered retreats, with organic ingredients wherever possible. Our drinking water comes from a mountain spring and is safe to drink. Mobile phone reception and limited wireless internet are available throughout Bodhi Khaya. During retreat times we generally cannot accommodate children. Bodhi Khaya has a strict no pets policy Please do not feed the baboons! Currently they are still wild and giving them food will encourage them to come into the rooms. Please do not smoke in the buildings

WALK THE LABYRINTH

Bodhi Khaya's Labyrinth is exquisitely crafted in harmony with the floral eco-system, and incorporates fynbos, aloes and other indegenous plants within its rings.

It was built by Amber McIntyre and Jesse Jessup and is lovingly maintained by all staff members. Situated directly under the powerful mountain and surrounded by protective trees, this particular Labyrinth invites you to consiously connect with the earth and elements as you walk inwards to centre.

============================>

BODHI KHAYA HIKING TRAILS

Winding through 217 Hectares of pristine Fynbos and Milkwood forests are 6 magical hiking trails. You can wander through an ancient forest and meditate under the old milkwood tree that’s been around for decades. Or follow the Farm Loop trail along the top of the farm for spectacular views of the valley, and catch a glimpse of the ocean in the far distance. Discover meditation circles and ponds in secluded nooks in the forest; and gaze in wonder at the wild pincushions and proteas turning the hills orange in spring. Have a swim in the many dams along the way. Each trail has its own character, as it meanders through a different section of the farm.

Swimming Dams

Beside the Meditation Hall and Labyrinth are two beautiful swimming dams. The first is a Lilly dam where you can bathe in the beauty of the lilies. The second dam is a tranquil and water hole that you may have to share with swallows at the end of a hot summer's day.

==> LEVEL OF FITNESS

@ -- For the Soulful Retreat on the 16th February – 18th of February 2018, this will be suitable for most levels of fitness, as the walks will be not be longer than 90min

@@@ -- It is always my aim to offer routes that are accessible for most people, but some minimum level of fitness is always required.
