The Yoga of Sound w/ Russill Paul

HEALING AND ENLIGHTENMENT THROUGH THE SACRED PRACTICE OF MANTRA
SUNDAY, APRIL 6, 2014
10:30am-5:30pm

1-hour lunchbreak (1:30-2:30pm)

Healing and enlightenment are two sides of the same coin: we cannot have one without the other and we cannot undertake one process without affecting the other.

Based on his groundbreaking book, The Yoga of Sound: Tapping the Hidden Power of Music and Chant, yogi musician and spiritual teacher, Russill Paul (aka Anirud Jaidev), takes you through an inner journey that explores the landscape of spiritual consciousness using mantras as the vehicle of transport. Combining group chanting with powerful renditions of esoteric mantras, evocative spiritual music, and trance-like movements, you are led into an extraordinary world of spiritual vibrations that facilitate both deep healing and the state of enlightenment through sound.

This one-day program is beneficial to spiritual seekers of all persuasions, yoga practitioners and teachers, psychotherapists, massage therapists, healers, musicians, and artists. The program is an extended immersion in the healing experience of sound as a medium for the transformation of consciousness. Participants are introduced to an expansive range of possibilities in mantra through exploring the classic traditions of Vedic, Tantric, and Bhakti mantras. Participants are also introduced to the tradition of Nada Yoga, the class term for the “Yoga of Sound” that has a 2,000 year history.
