SABA Weekly Meeting: Sondra Scott, "Eating Green"

SABA will have its weekly meeting on February 5, 2014 at Casa Garcia. Networking will start at 8am, with the formal meeting to begin at 8:30am with Sondra Scott as our speaker.

Ms. Scott of will be speaking on the topic of "Eating Green".  Ms. Scott is a nurse who has seen first hand the effects of environment on health and wellness,  and she will be talking about how food can be fuel or poison.  As what goes into our mouths and on our skin makes up who we are and how we function, sometimes, like dusting furniture and cleaning bathrooms, the body needs cleaning as well.  She will talk about signals that will tell us if now is the time to detox from processed foods, white flour and sugar.

Reminder that 2014 Dues are due. Dues for this year are $50 for individual membership and $250 for corporate membership (which includes one individual membership, additional employees are $50 per).  See Membership Chair Tim Plachta for an application if you have not already filled it out.

Sondra offered several tips for choosing better foods for keeping our bodies healthy. I especially liked her tips on alkaline-positive choices. So, I am going to work on reducing or eliminating sugar. Thanks Sondra. It was great to see so many new faces at our meeting.

Another good turn out. This group is really picking up momentum. Thanks to Abhijeet and Victoria from OpenTech Media, Bob Koehler from Anything Around the House and Tommie Baugh from TCB Enterprises for being our guests today. We hope to see you all back again soon.

Thanks also to Sondra Scott for a great presentation. It's clear to see that you take healthy eating very seriously and are passionate about your work.

Have a great and productive week!
