We’ll be at the 38th Annual Wine Classic at Loyola Marymount University in Westchester with the Santa Monica Wine Meetup Group. This wine classic is one of the best wine tasting event I have been to. I have been attending this event for the last 7 years. It gets better every year! A number of members attended last year. The Annual Wine Classic has earned a reputation among California vintners as the best wine-tasting event in the state. This Wine Classic is one of the few events where we will have the opportunity to meet the owner or vintner of every participating winery. Over 40 of the best boutique wineries in California have been selected (there are winemakers on the waiting list to participate in this event) with more than 150 wines available for tasting. Winemakers and vintners will be onsite to share their knowledge and experience. Among the wineries to participate are Arns Winery, Baldacci Family Vineyards, Barnett Winery, Bougetz Cellars, Brutocao Cellars, Canihan Family Winery, Clos Pepe Estate Vineyard, Colby Red, Coquerel Family Wine Estates, Costa de Oro Winery, Cottonwood Canyon Vineyard & Winery, Dragonette Cellars, Encanto Vineyards, Epps Estate Vineyards, Falcor Winery, Foxen Winery, Gamba Vineyards and Winery, Herb Lamb Vineyards, Hayfork**, Ken Brown Wines, Krupp Brothers Winery, Labyrinth Winery, Lewelling Vineyards, Lumen, Martian Ranch & Vineyard, Moffett Vineyards, Moone • Tsai Wines, Navarro Vineyards, O'Shaughnessy Estate Winery, Quixote Winery, Red Cap Vineyards, Robert Craig Winery, Saddleback Cellars, Shadybrook Estate Winery, St. Clair Brown Winery, St. Francis Winery & Vineyards, Stolo Family Winery**, TATE Wines, Tres Sabores, Trujillo Wines, ZD Wines and Zotovich Vineyards. ** NEW to the Wine Classic There will be an extensive buffet of hot & cold appetizers and desserts to complement the wines. Also, there will be a silent auction of specialty wines, wine country packages and products. Proceeds Benefit LMU Student Scholarships. The temperature inside the Albert Gersten Pavilion should be comfortable, but bring a sweater or jacket just in case. Tickets are $75 until 12/15/18, then $90 until 1/20/19 and $115 until 1/27/19. The ticket includes entry into the Wine Classic, a souvenir wine glass and delicious food that pairs with your wine. When purchasing your ticket, go to http://giving.lmu.edu/wineclassic/ .
