I've formed a group of cyclists who cycle during the week, we are mostly self-employed and are therefore lucky enough to be able to grasp opportunities to enjoy the outdoors and the beautiful countryside around us.
My idea is that some rides will be organised by group members and other rides may involve taking our bikes on the train and cycling somewhere else.
Our rides will mostly be off road or with short distances on roads, quiet roads as we want to enjoy the countryside rather than be speed demons on roads.
They will mostly be shortish rides so between 10-20 miles.
Our coffee or lunch stops are important because for us it isn't just about the cycling but about convivial company because we mostly work on our own.
So that's us.
I track our rides on Strava so follow me there to see the sort of rides we do and see the photos
Mainly off road on tracks and bridleways and some woodland areas. Hybrids and mountain bikes are fine. Not suitable for road bikes. There is one respectable hill about a third of the way round in the woodland section but the rest is basically flat. Total around 15 miles. Plan is to start and end near a pub so those who want to can stop for lunch. Optional coffee stop half way at Wagrave if we need a quick breather.
Can you guess - Paul leading this one!
