Tis The Time To Be Festive!!! (meal @ Memsaab, Woodburn Moor)

  • Memsaab

London Road, Woodburn Moor, High Wycombe HP10 0NJ (map)

    51.603291 -0.689139

  • Please note the veune has changed for this meet up to Memsaab - http://www.memsaab-restaurant.co.uk/

Top notch food at inexpensive prices!!! Memsaab continues to offer tasty and affordable Indian food. Whether you prefer something light, blended with fragrant spices and swirled with cream, or whether you seek the richness and heady aroma of a full bodied dish, they have created something different to tempt, and indulge. Combined with fresh vegetables, warm breads and an enviable array of Indian accompaniments, you will be utterly spoilt for choice.Driven by their love of India and Indian food, they are committed to providing their guests with the perfect dining experience.

What makes their Indian cooking special, authentic, and yet unique? The touch of their Master Chef. Their Chef brings a wealth of experience, he has developed a menu to entice and inspire you, including popular street food and specialities. Using only the finest ingredients, prepared and blended, and using traditional methods, the Chef has searched, sourced and created a whole range of delightful dishes.

RSVP - if you have RSVP Yes to an event and can no longer attend, remember to update your RSVP to No at the earliest opportunity (also applies if on the 'Wait List'). If unsure you can make an S.B.S. event, then best to 'err on the side of caution' and not RSVP Yes, however contact the event Host nearer the date of the event, to see if a space has become available or if you can be accommodated.

Bill Payment - as this is a 'pay as you go event'. Either an overall bill or if possible a bill spilt into groups, will be given at the table at the end of the meal & you will need to ensure the exact amount you owe, regards any food or drink you have ordered at the table, is given to the event Host or group rep. along with a £1 tip for service provided by the waiter(s) (tip will not be included if service is far below average). If paying by debit or credit card, please reframe from paying by card until it has been confirmed by the Host, the cost of the overall bill has been fully covered. The event Host will go round the table at the end of the meal, bill in hand, & ask each attendee what food/drink they had, at the same time calculating how much the individual owes, adding on the £1 tip if applicable. Having change with you, if paying by cash, is always a good idea. An indication of how much you are likely to spend, tends to be in the region of £14-£18 including the tip, however dependant on drink you order & if you go for a starter or dessert or coffee, as well as a main (you may wish to check out Memssab's menu -  http://www.memsaab-restaurant.co.uk/homepage.asp - beforehand, which should give a better indication of how much you are likely to spend, hence allowing you to budget accordingl).

How to find us:  at the table booked under the name Mary Sheridan from 7pm

Parking: there is a free car park along the restaurant.

Contacting Event Organiser- on the day before 6pm via phone or text on [masked].  Plus as a courtesy, if you have RSVP Yes, and at the 11hr are no longer able to attend, just drop me a text in order that the group aren't waiting on your arrival.

Hi Mary... I assume the new venue is an Indian restaurant and unfortunately Indian Food does not like me 😊 so I will no longer be coming. Hope you all have fun x

Hello all, just a polite reminder that if you can no longer make this event please don't forget to update your RSVP to No. As it being so close to Xmas & venues being extra busy they will frown upon reducing the table nos. on the night so please if you can't make this event for any reason make sure you update in your RSVP to No ASAP. Cheer me dears :)

okey dokey I will keep the 10th as the pub grub night and if the Beech House can accommodate us then that's where will be off too muchachoes. I will see if they do a set Xmas menu for those who may want that as well as seeing if people can choose from the a al carte menu if they want to :)

I agree with Sally but I would still be interested in going out for a reasonably priced Christmas meal.

Hi. Whilst I really like the sound of this, I think 66pounds is too expensive for me. Am still keen for a Christmas meal but probably not at this price. Sorry

  • Elaine S.

I think this sounds good and I would be happy to pay that, but it depends if others are interested.

    • Charmaine

Me too. I'm happy to pay but only IF....we get 10 people to go....if it's on Sat 10th Dec....and if we get table availability! :-)

Hi Mary re your clarification below - yes I was merely reporting on what details I found out re Elaine's comment on the Pinewood Xmas event.

  • Charmaine

Hi there, have made enquiries re the Events website that Mary posted below. There may be availability on Sat 10th Dec, but this is to be confirmed. The package is £66 pp all inclusive. The seating is tables of 10, so if we have 10 people confirmed then we'll have a table to ourselves. If you would like to know more about what you get for £66, take a look at the link on Mary's comment below. It is cheaper if we go for a weekday date, but Sat 10 Dec costs £66.

Yep that's how I'm looking at it however the 10th is being looked at regards Pinewood however understand its not guaranteed a table can be obtained for the 10th unless the table is booked pretty sharpish so maybe the case another night can be found for the Pinewood event if enough are interested. I won't be arranging that event though so if I have any of this wrong Charmaine, just shout. Just to add was going to look at The Beech House in Beaconsfield for pub grub nite if they could accommodate us. The book club is held at the venue so was going to enquire at the next book club. Hope that helps :)

    • Mary S.

Sorry not on this one Christine but if she wishes to join SBS she can always RSVP and join the waiting list. As people are bound to drop out closer to the date she'll more than likely get a place :)

  • DEBBIE

I'd go too if it goes up as an event 😊

    1 · August 23

  • Mary S.

If unsure you can make an S.B.S. event, please DO NOT RSVP YES. However, if you find you can attend an event closer to the date of the event, you can either join the waitlist (if there is one) or contact the event Host, who will endeavour to accommodate you, if they possible can - thank you :)
