Wow, so many amazing photos this month.  Great job everyone!  December is almost hear.  This month it is going to be a little different, so please make sure you read the entire instructions when posted.  I will be posting December’s challenge on November 29th.  I can’t wait to see what you do with it.

For you veteran challengers, you are familiar with the guidelines.  But just in case you want to refresh your memory and for all new challengers, here is a review.

For all of you who want to have a little fun with photography, we are going to have a monthly photo challenge.  Each month there will be a new word to photograph.  How you interpret that word is up to you.  The guidelines are very simple.  They are:

A new album will be opened on the first of each month.  The opening picture will be your word for the month.  Posting can start once the word is revealed and you’ve taken a picture you want to share with everyone.

Pictures must be taken during the month of the challenge. No going back and finding an old photo that you think is perfect for the challenge.  It defeats the purpose of this challenge which is to get you out there shooting new stuff and having fun.

Please remember that you are not the only one submitting photos so please edit down your own work and submit no more than 10 per month.  This allows for plenty of interpretation of the work without overwhelming the viewers.

Post processing is allowed, in fact, it is recommended.  You want your pictures looking the best that they can, so go to town.

There are no official judges.  You are all the judges when you view each other’s work.  Please remember to be considerate when commenting on someone’s photo.  Constructive criticism is usually welcome but rudeness is not.

And the most important rule…HAVE FUN.
These challenges are being set up to help challenge you in the way you view the world.  Be creative, be inventive.  Try new techniques.  Try new software.  Just have fun.  So watch for the album on November 29st.

It is hard to rate the event at this time since we start on December 1 but don't finish until Dec 31. That said, the Mash up idea leaves lots of room for inventiveness.

Since I came up with the theme idea, let me add a couple of a suggestions. 1) Last January didn't really have a theme, so you can safely ignore that one. 1a) If you can find away to use last January's challenge for new photos, wow, you're good. 2) August's A-Z theme makes it too easy to just say "It's a triangle and it starts with 'b.' Connie may or may not allow that, but if she does, and you post such a picture, I will mock you mercilessly. :)

I was going to combine the A-Z with the scavenger hunt... but 260 pics is over the limit so maybe I'll keep it on a smaller scale.

Pictures would be taken at more than
one places in the assigned list?
