The focus of this weekly meetup will be on people working remotely effectively.
We are going to be working from home for the foreseeable future. That can be an uncomfortable reality for some or a joy to others. Some of us have worked from home for years now. Some of us have worked from home at times and found it pleasurable (no commutes!). Some of us have never worked from home and are struggling with this “new normal”.
Regardless of our work from home experience, we all need to adjust how we work ourselves and how we work with others in a quarantined world.
This meetup will explore the following:
-Remote working/facilitation best practices
-Remote tools tips & tricks
-Remote team building activities
We can retrospect on the following:
-Do you need to adjust how you work at home?
-Do you need a home schedule with spouses, kids and pets?
-In what way will you need to change how you work with others?
-In what way will others need to change how they work with you?
-What types of attitudes and behaviors do you need to adapt in a quarantined world?
-If you are on a team, do your working agreements need to include remote working?
-What do you do if you are a people leader or manager? How do you manage your staff?
We will be co-designing the following deliverables (with your input and feedback):
-Example Team Working Agreement (with remote working included)
The outcome of this meetup will be a better understanding, from a people perspective, of how we can work more effectively remotely, with the right attitudes and behaviors, along with an example team working agreement which you can use with your teams or spouses immediately.
