What we're about
Public Group
I am in infatuated with Mother Nature's fruits; all of them in fact. Even the most common fruits invoke a magical feeling of being transported back to a time when our ancestors lived mostly on foraging in the trees. Indulging in the rare varieties of fruits can bring us a deja vu feeling of being on a remote part of the world alongside our ancestors gobbling down exotic fruits to invigorate our ten trillion cells.
Primitive cultures knew that the sweetest of fruits had the natural sugars that would tonify the blood to stave off invading parasites. They also knew that certain fruits had the ability to cleanse the mucous and acidity from their bodies. Lastly much strength was found by ingesting fruits contrary to the modern misinformation that meat makes you the strongest.
There is also much to be said about the love and passion involved with rearing and raising fruit trees without the use of toxic pesticides. There is a therapeutic aspect to the entire process down to the ripening and picking process. All the distilled water a body needs can be found in those marvelous jewels that develop all on their own. You can't rush this kind of perfection. It is said that fruits are Mother Nature's perfect creations.
If any or all of this resonates with you come gather with us on the last Sunday of each month. This is a social community gathering. We welcome all to show off the fruits of their labor at our monthly plant based potluck. You are welcome to share your organically grown fruits from your backyard for the group to enjoy. No fruits trees in the backyard? Do not despair as you can still contribute by picking up some local organic fruits in many fine places.
