After almost two years of book discussion meet-ups, let's get together for a casual social holiday event!

UPDATE! As this is a private residence, this meetup is restricted to members who have attended at least one South Jersey Book Club meetup.

If you would also like to discuss a book during the meet-up, I have suggested Wishin' and Hopin' by Wally Lamb. Here is the description:

Back in the beloved fictional town of Three Rivers, Connecticut, Wally Lamb takes his readers straight into the halls of St. Aloysius Gonzaga Parochial School. But grammar and arithmetic move to the back burner this holiday season with the sudden arrivals of substitute teacher Madame Frechette and feisty Russian student Zhenya Kabakova. While Felix learns the meaning of French kissing, cultural misunderstanding, and tableaux vivants, Wishin’ and Hopin’ barrels toward one outrageous Christmas.

A vivid slice of 1960s life, Wishin’ and Hopin’ is a wise and witty holiday tale that celebrates where we’ve been-and how far we’ve come.

Please bring (and post your contribution in your RSVP comments) hors d'oeuvres or dessert and we will have a finger food dinner. I will supply the paper goods, coffee and a bottle of wine.

I will email my address and phone number to the members who RSVP that they are coming. If you are unable to make it, please change your RSVP at least 48 hours beforehand.

Hope to see you all there!

Cozy, warm, and welcoming!! The holiday meetup was wonderful, and what a cheerful little book set at Christmas for tonight's discussion! Lots of good ideas were floated for future book selections too.
