We'll walk on forest trails maintained by WA State Dept of Natural Resources through the woods of Capitol State Forest along the Mima Falls Trail. A nice summer hike with a few minor elevation gains (300' total).
Not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs. Pets permitted but NOT in buildings, with leash and cleanup. Carry water. Water and pit toilet at start/finish and trailhead.
After the walk, visit the nearby mysterious Mima Mounds (Discover Pass required to park) that have been written up in many geological and unexplained publications. Gopher's or ancient artifacts? Earthquakes, glaciers or aliens? You decide.
