Suffering from any form of mental ill health can feel very lonely. This peer-support group is formed to gather together people who know how you're feeling, to give each other mutual support, and to help alleviate the feelings of isolation, loneliness and despair that often accompany such illnesses.
It's nothing heavy! In fact, quite the opposite. It's a friendly and informal social group, giving people the chance to get out and be around those who understand how you're feeling, all in a safe, non-judgemental and relaxed environment. Please don't hesitate to join and take a look around, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
It's one of the most active groups you'll find anywhere on Meetup. We have events to appeal to everyone including regular walks, coffee meets, lunches, board game nights, days out, meditation and mindfulness sessions and lots more, all organised specifically to minimise anxiety for new and regular members alike.
You'll also be able to join our secret Facebook group which only members of the group can see.
After a free 2-month trial, there's a small £2 fee for a 1 year membership to be paid if you would like to remain in the group to help us cover our costs - that's less than the price of a coffee.
If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to message us.
We look forward to meeting you soon :-)
