Bootcamp for Pitch Night by Ted Lanes

In Bootcamp for Pitch Night participants will:

• Learn about the different types of "pitches" (long, short and micro)

• Learn how to determine the key elements of their pitch and highlight it, as well as choose the right potential investors

• Leave with a written plan of action and understand how to establish the credibility necessary to raise capital

• Understand how to "price" an opportunity to investors (what does pre & post money mean & what do early investors really want)

No matter how enthusiastic an entrepreneur is or how wonderful their product or service is, if they are not able to effectively convey this to potential investors their pitch will not be successful.

Theodore Lanes is a Los Angeles based Receiver for Federal and Superior court cases, with experience as CFO in public and private environments. Mr. Lanes has over 20 years of very broad based background in business, legal, finance, management, human resources and technology. He has raised about $80m in both public and private entities over his career.

In addition to his Receivership practice, Lanes is CFO of MX Digital, LLC, a developer of online waged games in Europe, Canada and Ireland.

Mr. Lanes earned his MBA from the Marshall Business School at the University of Southern California in 1989 and his BS in Finance from California State University, Long Beach in 1985.

I have a late afternoon meeting, but if people are really going to be there at 10AM I'd love to come learn and share pitch ideas and opportunities in the day if that is cool.
