What we're about
South Phoenix Women of Color Sisterhood is a group for women of color (Ex: Latinas and African Americans), who are in their 30s & 40s, living in the Phoenix area and surrounding cities. The focus of the group is to enjoy various activities and events while meeting new people who you can form everlasting friendships with. We will take part in activities such as going out to eat, going on trips, shopping, going to the movies, dancing, attending happy hour, bowling, karaoking, volunteering within the community, and any other fun activities we can find. The goal of the group is to meet up at least one a month in order to support one another, enjoy life, and have fun! In order to make this Meetup group successful it is highly important for the members to participate by posting ideas, starting discussions or responding to them in the message board, being event hosts, RSVPing, and attending events as often as possible. In addition, we expect for all members to be friendly, welcoming, and treat each other with respect.
***Lack of participation along with three or more "No Shows' within the group can be a basis for removal from the group so please be active! In addition, please be courteous and update RSVPs 48 hours prior to the event if you are unable to make it as intended to. Otherwise, you will be considered as a "No Show". This requirement is necessary and important because we do make reservations and sometimes can be charged for those who do not show up.
