Thank you to everyone who came out. I always enjoy sharing with each of you. Without you, there would be no group. Everyone always has something to contribute. The questions and insights are abounding.

Thanks Stacy and Brian for sharing your home with us. I always learn something cool from you, like the shortbread cookies....yum!

really enjoyed learning how to make a variety of breads, cookies, muffins, and especially how to feed and maintain my own living "starter". even better than learning was the tasting and eating ! the knowledge in the room was really impressive and John and Stacy really make the effort to impart their knowledge to others. this is a really great group of people.

If you would like to take home some sourdough starter then you should bring a clean quart jar. I'll bring extra flour for folks to make starter with. I'll be bringing a starter that is over 100 years old. Want to know what that means? See you at the batch!

I'll bring a simple refrigerator cookie that is suitable for all occasions. Folks may bring perhaps a pound of flour and a pound of granulated sugar. Please be sure to have them in a reusable container so you can take excess home with you! I don't think it is absolutely necessary to bring anything though.

Otherwise we will have plenty of the other ingredients that are wanted for baking.

Since we will be busy in the kitchen baking everyone that plans on staying for awhile may want to bring a cold lunch. There are a few local sandwich shops as well. We plan on not going past 4 with baking and visiting :)

John did you want anyone to bring anything? I have the No-knead bread, oat bread, basic muffin, and short bread cookie covered. I will also have extra basic ingredients for baking.

If you have a favorite recipe for a cookie and want to premix and bring it along that would be fine. I am providing basic ingredients. I will also have some bread already made up and demo how to make a oat bread. I think John is doing sour dough and a cookie. My daughter will have a short bread cookie mixed up.
