Welcome to Jim and Lauren! Never fear, you may have missed the most recent meeting, but we review topics often. Just keep watching the main page for upcoming meetings. The Eastside POD meets the fourth Thursday of each month, so you can add us to your schedules.

Lots of good home security ideas, and some thought provoking discussion of possible scenarios. I got a lot out of it.

Thank you to all who attended last night's meeting. Some great information was exchanged. And the questions folks asked showed how committed we are. Looking forward to next month!

Dave's information was awesome. I learned so much. Also learned a lot from Ken. Thank you all who contributed all the great information and insights.

Hi all, I'm new to this, but I certainly feel the need to prepare. It's nice just knowing that there are others that feel the same way.

    Hi
I am really looking forward to the meeting.
I am a really new prepper in the last year. I was wondering if I could carpool with someone I would gladly pay for gas. I am at fort lowelle and alvernon.

New at this so not sure where to begin. If it's ok, I might hang on the side and watch and listen. Eventually I'll open up and give some good input. I'd like to start meeting like minded people and networking. Are we all a little paranoid or is everyone else plain stupid?

Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who are so busy with their day-to-day lives that they don't take the time to verify what they hear through the news media. But I think more and more people are "waking up."

Hi, everyone! The topic of this meetup will be home security. Between now and the meeting, take some time to jot down a few ideas on how you could make your bug-in location more invasion-resistant. We'll break our discussion into three sections: urban security, suburban security, and rural security.

For urban, think dense population and very close quarters, possibly even a common wall between you and your neighbor, and the necessity of traversing a hallway to get outdoors. Also, think about living on a major traffic thoroughfare.

For suburban, think single family homes with neighbors reasonably close by and 1/2 to 1 acre lots. Also, think about living in a neighborhood where there are only one or two streets that allow entry/escape to the major thoroughfares.

For rural, think isolated property with neighbors possibly 1/2 to 1 mile or more distant, and limited communication. Also think about long distances required to reach major thoroughfares.

    See you on the 27th!

    Beckie
