November 2012 - Southern Colorado Drupal Meetup

November meeting. As always, you are welcome to bring your Drupal problems, things you'd like to learn and sites you'd like to demo. We have a couple of presentations for November:

  • James Swainston will demo his recently approved po.st module that integrates Drupal sites with the social sharing service: http://www.po.st/ James will also share his experience at getting his first contributed module approved by the Drupal Community.
  • Rick Nashleanas will do a presentation on "The Command Line for Site Builders" - a presentation that Rick has eyes on submitting for DrupalCamp Colorado 2013.

We might have even more mini-presentations or demos. Watch this space.

Dinner. You are all welcome to join the group at 5:30 or so over at Thunder and Buttons II - for a bite to eat or just a beer. If the folks don't arrive at the library on time, you'll know where we are.

Location. We are in the basement conference room of the Old Colorado City Library. (Thanks for having us!)

A sad goodbye. We are sorry to say goodbye to Matt Kleve (vordude) who is moving to Florida. Matt has been very active in the local Colorado community and a great friend. Matt, when you're visiting Colorado, please come back and see us.

I won't be able to make it tonight, but wanted to let everyone know about a co-learning group I'm in. If anyone is interested, check us out at drupalistasgroup.com and join us!

Hey all, sorry to say that I won't be making it to tonight's meetup. My husband and I just moved to Broomfield and we're still getting settled in. Maybe I'll make it down to the December meetup!

We have just released a responsive theme for monarchdigital.com. Perhaps we can convince Caleb to give us a walkthrough: http://www.monarchdigital.com/blog/2012-11-01/being-responsive

Very nice! I'm working on a responsive design right now and looking forward to Caleb's insights.

The security review module has been getting some buzz from the online Drupal newsletters and podcasts. Here is an example from my local D7 machine: http://goo.gl/mQDLn . I can do a little demo if there's interest.

Knowing that so many folks like to leave fckeditor and ckeditor available for their customers, I've been probed more than 50 times in the last 24 hours for particular library files associated with both those editors The majority of those probes came from[masked], an address not listed on stopforumspam like so many other of my probers are. Drupal Scout points at these programs specifically as being vulnerable to XSS hacks.

I'd be interested to hear if anyone is exploring Google Tag Manager: http://www.google.com/tagmanager/
