Backpacking Tips

Anyone who is just starting to backpack needs to do some reading before investing in equipment. Once the basics are bought or borrowed, start out with a simple overnight excursion. You can even practice by camping in your back yard!

Once you have a short trip or two under your belt, you will begin to figure out exactly what you want to carry and what you need to be comfortable.
