Members of the Southwest Maker Fest recently returned from the Maker Education Convening hosted by makered.org in Oakland, California. This two-day event brought together formal and informal educators from around the nation and Europe to talk about "how to deepen the collective impact of maker education." We would like to share what we learned at the convening in order to support the efforts of educators here in Arizona. In addition to our presentation, we will be featuring a panelist of educators and librarians who operate maker spaces to share their insights. We'll end the evening with a hands-on "Make & Take" activity facilitated by Eric Ose, the Robot Ambassador.

Hosted at the CREATE space at Arizona Science Center, it will be a wonderful opportunity to tour the facilities and network with other Edu-Makers.
