Looking for experienced mountaineers to join a Mt Baker climb 06-07 Aug. Route will be Easton Glacier (https://www.mountaineers.org/activities/routes-places/mount-baker-easton-glacier). Glacier/rope team travel and crevasse rescue skills required.
06 Aug - Meet at the Mt Baker Ranger Station in Sedro-Wooley, WA (810 State Route 20 Sedro-Woolley, WA 98284) at 8am. Drive out to Baker Pass Trailhead, hike up to high camp on the Railroad Grade Moraine. Conduct crevasse rescue refresher training in the afternoon.
07 Aug - alpine start for summit, back to high camp to pack up, then all the way out and back to Sedro-Wooley.
In addition to normal overnight backpacking gear and clothing layers, each climber will need to bring the following:
Carabiners (minimum of one locking and four non-locking)
Prusik system (waist loop and foot loop, I'm using a Texas prusik)
Seat harness (I'm using a Black Diamond Couloir)
Chest harness (I'm using webbing tied in a loop)
Runners (minimum of two single and one double, tied not sewn)
Pack drop loop and carabiner (separate from above)
Avalanche rescue gear (transceiver, probe, shovel) may be required, a determination for this will be made by 19 Jul based on current avalanche conditions and information will be sent to team members.

I will provide one rope (for up to one four-person rope team) and one shovel. We may need more depending on the number of people going.
Tentage and stoves/fuel to be based on number of people going.
Each person is responsible for their own transportation.
