We will immerse ourselves in the Spanish language and culture.
THE CLASSES The classes are taught by Uninter’s professional instructors with training in second language acquisition. They are kept small, 4 to 5 students, so everyone has a chance to participate and improve their conversational ability. Each student’s language ability is assessed so that students are placed in the correct class. The classes also include cultural activities like cooking, dancing, and excursions within Cuernavaca. THE STUDENTS The students can be anyone who wants to improve their ability to communicate in Spanish for either personal or professional reasons. This opportunity is ideal for those who need to show proficiency in Spanish for work or licensure. THE COORDINATOR Betty Lotterman has led student groups to Mexico for over 20 years. She taught high school Spanish for 30 years and has a master’s degree in Hispanic Lingustics. She will assist in making travel arrangements, resolve issues that may arise with family arrangements or classroom instruction, and help in case of emergencies. She can help students adjust to the differences in culture they might encounter in living in Mexico. COST Cost = $1251 · Tuition for classes five days a week, five hours per day · Room and board including three meals a day with a Mexican family · Transportation from Mexico city airport (but not airfare) · THE EXCURSIONS Excursions to Las Estacas, (an ecological water park), and the arqueological zones of Zochicalco and Tepotzlan. What we're about

Anyone who wants to learn some (more) Spanish and experience Mexican culture should plan on this trip. We will travel to Cuernavaca, Mexico for two weeks. Students will stay with Mexican families or they can choose a dormitory type setting on campus. We will have Spanish classes Monday through Friday and many afternoon/evening activities. There will be excursions to an ecological water park and archeological sites on the weekends. This is an opportunity to experience Mexican culture first hand while immersing yourself in the Spanish language in a safe and fun environment.
