Renee Torres teaches using drama as a vehicle to facilitate a second language learner to express and communicate fluidly and spontaneously on the new language. She is a theater director, a Gestalt facilitator and a Linguistic and Occidental literatures teacher. She taught and creates performances in Europe, Latino America and USA for the last 15 years. She enjoys music, art, dancing, laughs and weaves all this elements on her Spanish as second language teachings
A Drama is the representation of a reality and as language teacher, I offer the student the stimulation, living the opportunity to speak in a particular situation as possible close to reality. Games, improvisations, role-play, situations and interactions in a safe place to take big risks, having fun. With all this we are framing the student in the appropriate context for exercising their knowledge in a fully integrated lexicon, syntax, intonation and expression (body movements) experience.
