I work in technology and I breathe technology in and out every day of my life. If you are reading this, you probably do the same. While I do get to work on a number of cool real-life problems through my professional work, there are a number problems I want to work on and solve. Some of these are new, some are things that others may have solved already - but I’d like to solve it in a new way. You may have some sort of a similar list as well. Thus, I’m setting this group up to see if there are other like-minded people who would be excited to come team up and work on these things. No, we don’t need a 500 member group to start with. All we need is a few people who believe in this idea.

So first, this is to work on what we want to work on.

Second, unity is strength. I want to meet and bond with a group of people who would want to work together and achieve something great. It is always possible to work alone to build things. But, I believe if we team up the right people in the right way, we can get a lot done - achieve a lot more than one person can achieve.

Third, practice is power - I do not want to spend time just listening to experts talk. I want to spend time working on things. This becomes my practise to sharpen my skills - just like a Spartan fighter practices all the time to be the best in what they do.

How do we do it?
We’ll start with a list of projects that look interesting. These may be projects, mini-projects or even modules. We’ll prioritize them and based on how many people are involved, we’ll start working on them. Anything built in the past could be reused in the future to build upon.

How is it different from a Hackathon?
It is not a 24 hour or a 48 hour long event. It is going to be a weekly or a bi-weekly mini-projects or sprints. The code initially developed will continue to be there and may be used in future sprints or mini-projects to build upon.

When do we meet?
At this point all I know is that it will be a regular meet. How frequently? Could be Bi-weekly or monthly. Let’s discuss when we meet.
