TNTs - Croft South side trail about 1.5 hours
Have some cash on you. There is a $2 entrance fee into the park. This hike is Approximately 3 miles long and Approximately 1.5 hours long (depending on the pace, amount of pictures taken and how well I calculated). I piecemealed a loop trail together from varies other trails. There will be some backtracking and some road walking but most of the trail is a rustic dirt path, considered easy to moderate. Part of this trail is shared by horses and their riders and part of it is shared by bicyclist. Part of the trail follows Fairforest Creek (very pretty). The trail might be muddy so don't wear your Sunday best shoes or slacks. :-), maybe bring an extra pair with you and a plastic bag for your muddy shoes. How to get there you ask: Enter the park at the cross roads of Hwy 56 (Cedar Springs Rd) & S 321 (Dairy Ridge Rd.) Take the first right onto Croft State Park Rd. You will be heading south for Approximately 3.6 miles to the end of the road. The road turns into a gravel road towards the end. Turn left into the Stables parking area. BE SURE AND HAVE MY PHONE NUMBER PROGRAMED IN YOUR PHONE INCASE YOU HAVE TROUBLE FINDING US OR ARE RUNNING LATE. PLEASE CHANGE YOUR RSVP IF YOU CANT MAKE IT.

What we're about

Come walk with us!

Our group is open to everyone and consists mostly of non-strenuous exercise with a social flair. We like to stop along the way to smell the roses. Most walks are about an hour long. We average about 1 mile in 20 to 30 minutes, depending on whether there are hills and what there is to see. We walk or hike on various terrain, (dirt path, asphalt, sidewalks). All walks are considered easy to moderate, unless otherwise noted.

We meet for walks in the Spartanburg area. We sometimes re-group for dinner and socializing. We occasionally go out of town for a nature hike. Misc. other activities may be added as well, e.g. yoga.

We usually walk rain or shine; at night; cold or hot. We are NOT a fair weather group.

There is at least one walk scheduled a week, plus misc. other walks on different days and times, to accommodate everyone. This includes at least one walk per month on the weekends. You can click on the calendar tab to see what we have cookin. You can see a better over view if you go in through a computer instead of via the app on a phone.

Please keep in mind that this is a nonprofit site; set up like a co-op of helpers. Its all about community building and fun exercise. Feed-back and suggestions are encouraged. Everyone can contribute in some way. There are no paying sponsors. The organizations posted under sponsors are listed because they support our walking efforts. The web page cost is donated by Reta, (the organizer) and donations from some members. I ask for you to contribute $1 a month, if you walk that month. Just give it to me when you walk with us.

Its important to keep your RSVP current so we know who to look for at the start of each walk/hike.
