What we're about

The Spectrum Scale (GPFS) User Group is the USA chapter of a worldwide 700+ member Spectrum Scale User Group community. It is free to join and open to all using, interested in using or integrating IBM Spectrum Scale. The user group is not officially endorsed by IBM, but has strong links to Spectrum Scale developers and is for technical discussion, not marketing promotion.

We welcome existing users of Spectrum Scale (formerly GPFS) and those interested in checking it out. Attendees have a varying levels of experience from a wide range of industries. Our members represent organizations from life sciences, pharmaceuticals, academia, media, automotive, defense and many others.

The Spectrum Scale User Group is:

• Open to all using, interested in using or integrating Spectrum Scale

• No sign up required, helpful if you join the mailing list (http://www.spectrumscale.org/join/)

Community Consists of:

• Online community (website, mailing list, webinars)

• In-person Events held 2-4 times/year

Note: The Spectrum Scale Users Group is not to be used as a sales and marketing platform: it is about the community 1st and the technology 2nd, regardless of the supplier.

The group is made up of volunteers including systems engineers, developers, IT architects who are seeking to learn more from other users. Most group communications are circulated via the mailing list and website here http://www.spectrumscaleug.org/.
