Come enjoy a weekend of rock climbing at 8000+ feet in Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite National Park. We will be camping at Tuolumne Meadows Campground ( which gives amazing access to Places like Cathedral Peak, Mt. Tenaya and Dozier Dome.

This is a trip for all climbing levels, but you will need your own personal climbing gear: Helmet, harness, shoes, food & water, protection from the elements and a headlamp. We will determine our destinations based upon who signs up and applicable experience. If you just want to climb one day and hike the next, you would be hard pressed to find a finer location...

Camping at Yosemite requires basic overnight camping gear and the understanding that all food (or anything that smells) needs to stay in the designated bear boxes when not in use. There is a small store and grill at the camp site but the nearest gas station is almost an hour away so please make sure your car is topped off before you enter the park. We will be assigned a camp spot on arrival so the location will be provided when we know... PARKING IS LIMITED so plan to carpool.

There will be a fee to enter the park and we will be collecting a small fee to cover the reserved campsites. We usually have a group dinner Saturday night at camp, so please bring something simple to share and enjoy with your new friends...

Tuolumne is at over 8000 feet in elevation so expect that some level of acclimatization will be required. If you reside at sea level, give yourself some extra time and plan to be easily winded. The sooner you arrive, the more time you will have to get used to the elevation. Altitude affects everyone differently, if you are unsure, form a backup plan. Tuolumne is also much cooler than the rest of Yosemite, so plan for cooler nights and possible frosty morning. Many layers is always a smart idea in the mountains. That said, plan for some great climbing while meeting some cool new friends and enjoying some of the most jaw dropping scenery in California. See you there!!!!
