  • Yoga Nidra and Chanting at The Lotus Sanctuary

    Keepers Cottage

The Lotus Sanctuary is in a remote area of outstanding beauty near the Ridgeway in Oxfordshire and is very peaceful and tranquil. The Lotus Sanctuary is owned and managed by Helen Monson who has at her core a complete holistic nature comprising of sustainability, organic home-produced fruit and vegetables, meditation and yoga sessions, food from the garden, health and wellbeing. There are a number of different themed areas of the garden to contemplate or eat with a backdrop of running water which adds serenity in nature. Its really is a hidden gem so why not come and see for yourself. Dominika will be leading the yoga session herself in the large raised wooden hut overlooking the garden together with assistance from Helen. You can see it in the picture. She will instruct 2 hours of yoga nidra and chanting suitable for beginners and intermediates and no previous yoga or meditation experience is necessary? What is Yoga Nidra? Otherwise known as yogic dreaming, Yoga Nidra is the hallmark of Satyananda Bihar School of Yoga, the tradition in which our teacher for this course is trained. It is the most popular and enjoyable of the Meditation from the Tantras. It is a lying down relaxation meditation which systematically takes you from the world of outer sounds step by step through body, breath and mind to your deep subconscious to release negativity, tap into creativity and positivity and explore your deeper consciousness connecting to your Higher Consciousness. 30 minutes of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to 2 hours' of sleep. For more information: http://www.thelotussanctuary.com/ and email [masked] Helen lives in a remote area so please look at her directions at http://www.thelotussanctuary.com/contact/ The cost of the session which starts from 7pm to 9pm and is on a full moon is £12 Payment is made direct to Helen but please RSVP on meetup first so we know who is coming
