Munay-Ki Fire Ceremony FULL MOON (Free!)

I am holding a Fire Ceremony at 711 Kimbrough Street in Raleigh on Saturday, February 15th, 2014 at 7:30 pm.

You may choose the archetype that you wish to welcome in!

SERPENT: Sachamama – the energy of the feminine and of the belly connection to Earth, our Pachamama.  This is the energy of the South, the energy of transformation, which is about shedding old baggage, old stories, and old skin.

JAGUAR: Otorongo – the archetype implanted at the second chakra.  Otorongo is the Luminous Warrior who has no enemies and shows us the way beyond fear, the way over the Rainbow Bridge.  She teaches us about courage, strength, overcoming darkness and living in Peace with integrity.

HUMMINGBIRD: Serokenti – Royal Hummingbird – the archetype implanted at the third chakra.  The Hummingbird honors the Wise Ancient Ones, it’s the archetype of the North, the place our ancestors, Grandmothers and Grandfathers, ancient memories, ancient wisdom – the Ones who have stepped outside of Time but slip through the curtain to help us remember the ancient ways, the way of the Hummingbird, who drinks directly from the nectar of Life—not built for flight yet undertakes and accomplishes the impossible epic journey.  The lesson here involves honoring the soul's longing to grow, to learn and explore despite a difficult journey!

EAGLE/CONDOR: Hatun Kuntu/Apuchin –the archetype implanted at the fourth chakra.  The great archetype of the East, the place of the rising Sun, the place of our Becoming—principle of seeing from high perspective, vision of clarity and beauty, the great wings of the condor hold the heart, teaches us to see with the eyes of the heart—the One who pushes us out of the nest to spread our own wings so that we may always fly wing to wing with the Great Spirit.

HUASCAR:  Lord of the Underworld, Lord of Life, Lord of Death – the archetype implanted at the fifth chakra.  It symbolizes the harmonizing principle of the Lower World, which is the place of darkness that holds all creative potential.  From out of the darkness comes creation!  "He/she is the renewer of the Earth and our own personal need of renewing our own earth, fields that are fallow, places that need aerating.  The gift of Huascar is to harmonize our relationship with our Shadow."

QUETZELCOATL: The Day Bringer, the Morning Star – the archetype implanted at the sixth chakra.  "Quetzal is a beautiful jungle bird and coatl is serpent, reptile, a feathered, winged serpent that has acquired flight – the organizer of the middle world, brought irrigation, medicine plants and stonework, walked the Americas, brought stability, music, dance, flutes, drums. Though it has been lost in our culture, we can call on it individually, an animistic knowledge of the ways of the Earth. It organizes your relationship with the Middle World—when you come into relationship with Quetzelcoatl you don't have to micromanage your life. Let us call on Quetzelcoatl energy to help us through the day to day, knowing that there is a Divine Order to all and that all is in Divine Order!

PACHAKUTI: The archetype implanted at the seventh chakra.  Historically, it represents the Inkan king who was given the prophecy that the world was turning over (coming of the Spanish). It is the keeper of possibilities, organizing principle of the Upper World. Pachakuti embodies the concept of circular time, stepping outside of linear time, it makes time stand still, brings order, heavenly order. Coming into relationship with Pachakuti allows us to recognize what can be changed and changing it before it is born.

Munay is the Quecha word for unconditional, eternal, unreasoned love.  Rather than an emotion, munay is seen as an attitude of respect and appreciation for everyone and everything.  Oh, yes!

Before coming to the fire circle, create an offering out of burnable materials (twig, pine cone, paper, dried leaves) which then become a spirit arrow or death arrow.  In some ceremonies one releases the old and invites in the new in the act of coming to the fire.  The spirit arrow or death arrow represent the issue or something you want to let go of and/or invite into your life as it is placed in to the fire.  It serves to focus one's attention on an active meditation.  On the evening of the full moon, it is especially important to nurture the seeds planted when you received the rites.  It you are unable to attend you may, of course, join us in Spirit holding ceremony wherever you are.

Bring your rattles...sorry no drums.

Everyone is invited.  You do not have to have received the Munay-Ki rites to attend the fire ceremony.

I look forward to seeing you 'round the pit!

If the weather is questionable please call or email to make sure that we are not rained out!
