Hello, fellow movie lovers! Aaron Spickelmire, assistant organizer, letting you know of a new Meetup being created for Sunday, March 2. It's the night of the Academy Awards, and they are being shown at the Bing Crosby Theater starting at 5pm.
The last two years we have watched the Oscars at the Magic Lantern Theatre and held a potluck dining event. This year, however, for a variety of reasons we are moving to the Bing Crosby. We won't be having a potluck, but there will be a wide variety of food and drinks available at the lobby concession stand and the newly opened Ovations bar.

We encourage you to stroll down the red carpet in your favorite formal attire, as your favorite movie character or simply in your comfy casual clothing. View the live screening of the Oscars on our 30 foot screen and in HD surround sound at the historic Bing Crosby Theater in downtown Spokane.
Coeur d'Alene Summer Theater’s new artistic director Jadd Davis will be emceeing this fun filled evening which will include live performances with music from famous movies, partake in our film trivia contest and fill out a show ballet and maybe you can win your own Oscar.
Beer, wine and tasty food will be available for purchase at the concessions stands all night as you enjoy Hollywood’s most glamorous evening.
This event supports the continual efforts of CDA Summer Theater and Friends of the Bing to enrich and entertain the community with high quality performing arts productions.
The suggested donation for the evening is $15.00 per person, which is more than what was previously asked for at the Magic Lantern. However, as you read above, the funds are going to support very worthy--and local--artistic causes.
Whether you decide to dress up or wear casual clothes, I hope everyone who can attend has a wonderful evening.
