Please join us in the Greenhouse for our 2nd annual Rare Bear (http://www.rarescience.org/rare-bear-program/) sew-in for RARE Science (http://www.rarescience.org/), a non-profit organization that helps find cures for kids with rare disease. The RARE Bear Project is a community driven initiative and is supported by the ever-growing RARE Bear Army of volunteers that help make one of a kind bears for special one of a kind kids.
We'll provide fabric + notions for folks to create fun bears to donate to RARE Science. Any fabric or embroidery thread donations you have for this cause are welcome, too!
All ages and all skill levels are welcome to attend, so please do bring your children and your friends! There is plenty ironing, pinning and stuffing to be done in addition to simple sewing, so help in any way you like. This event is floating, so come when you can and stay as long as you like.
The Greenhouse has several sewing machines to share if you do not have your own--we'll just take turns between cutting and sewing. Please let us know if you'll need to borrow a machine.
If you'd like to bust your stash and make some RARE bears to donate ahead of time, you can do so by joining (http://www.rarescience.org/rare-bear-army-contact/) the RARE Bear Army today to receive sewing instructions and necessary custom RARE Bear supplies! We'll provide these instructions and supplies at our sew-in, too! You're welcome to drop your RARE Bear at Spoonflower anytime before or during our event!
We look forward to seeing you in the Greenhouse to sew for a great cause!
