** Please read ALL details before putting in your RSVP **
** I will move you to do the Going List once I receive your campsite contribution**

We will be spending a beautiful fall weekend @ Maurice National Park (https://www.pc.gc.ca/en/pn-np/qc/mauricie)!

Day 1 : Cycling ~ 106km with 1400m elevation gain
Day 2 : Hiking ~ 17km with 700m elevation gain
I will be posting the route / hiking trails once the final group is determined.

Less than two hours from Montréal and Québec City, La Mauricie National Park takes you straight into the heart of the Laurentian forest. In a part of the country that First Nations travelled long before the establishment of the Trois-Rivières trading post in 1634, nature is at the heart of the experience. No less than 211 species of birds, including 124 nesting species, populate this territory. Even today, 93% of the area is covered by forests of 30 species of trees, including maple, birch, pine, fir and spruce. Hills and valleys criss-cross the landscape, creating unique vantage points.

To join the ride you need to have the following

1-Only a road bike, touring bike or hybrids are accepted, no mountain bikes no triathlon or time trial bikes, no electric bikes! We will cruise at an average above 25 km/h. this ride is hilly and you will be challenged, If you do not like hills do not sign up, if you can't do 30 km/h for at least 5 km on flat distances do not sign up.

2- There are 4 questions when you sign up, if you can't see the questions because you are signing up from a phone, please make sure you text me so I can give you the questions, if I get no text and no answer to the questions you will be automatically removed no warning.

3-You have a spare tube with you in case something happens. You have a helmet. Equipment will be verified before starting the ride.

4-Bring your lunch because there are no convenience stores in the park

5- Drivers: please offer a ride in the comments below and indicate "I am driving and have room for X no. of people".

6- Passengers requesting a ride must email drivers directly to secure a spot. Please do it through direct email (click on the driver's name and you will see his/her profile details page; under his/her name you will find 'send email', send the driver your message directly). Please do not ask for rides in the comments to avoid comments congestion. Once you get a lift confirmed, the driver will comment "I am taking xyz." People without any driving arrangement on Thursday 7pm will be removed from the Going list without notice.

7- Ride sharing: Meet at the Tim Horton's across from the Namur metro stop by 6:55am. There is plenty of free parking all around, We will leave no later than 7:05am. Drivers, please email your cell No. to your riders and to me.

8- Cost sharing: $60/car as a contribution to drivers. We will try to have three riders per car (including the driver) to minimize the park entrance fee, but there may only be two, or four; the contribution remains the same, $60/car divided by the number of passengers. The entrance fee will be shared equally as well.

9- Waiting list: I will manage the list manually, drivers will have priority if we do not have enough drivers.

10-If you are on the Going list and your plans change and you cannot join us, then you MUST change your RSVP to No before 7pm Tuesday. This will give somebody on the Waitlist enough time to arrange to join the group.
