Are you an experienced sailor and you don’t mind sharing your passion with others? Join us and we will provide you a ship (and crew) for free! But everyone is welcome to join, experienced and inexperienced.

Sailing is a great way to enjoy the outdoors. We'll go sailing on the Kralingse Plas. A small lake in the district of Kralingen, Rotterdam. It is surrounded by lots of trees, 2 old wind mills and a gorgeous view on the urban skyline of Rotterdam. There isn't a place like this in the Netherlands where you can sail in a forest in the city.

We will rent one or more Valk/Falcon-sailboats (3 or 4 persons + 1 sailor per boat) at the sailing school. The restrictive limit is the amount of capable sailors that attend, so if we don't have enough sailors, the first ones who applied will get priority. The rest has to choose between a canoe, SUP or marooned on a deserted island.

Cost is 10 euros each (sailor doesn't have to pay). Tikkie-link will follow. Aterwards we can have dinner/drinks at the local restaurant (optional). Bring water, towel, sun block, sun glasses and (swimming) clothing that can get wet/dirty.

*This event is not in The Hague but in Rotterdam. If you come by public transport, you can take the metro to metrostation Voorschotenlaan (15 min walk from there). Alternatively, you can take the train/metro from The Hague to Rotterdam Central Station and rent an OV-Fiets (3,85E/24 hour), Mobike (1E/30min with 5E deposit) or Felyx E-scooter (0,30E/min). Taking your bike on the metro is free, however it isn't allowed on workdays between 16:00 and 18:30. Parking for cars is for free.

*I highly appreciate being alive, and I hope you too. Being on the water involves a risk of falling overboard and drowning, which is never nice. If you do not consider yourself a good swimmer, please let me know on beforehand and I'll make sure you get additional instructions.

*In case of bad weather or no wind, this event will be rescheduled*
