Scenic Acres Community Association
Transform Stress and Awaken your Innate Healing Intelligence with the gentle, yet powerful exercises of Spring Forest Qigong! We practice Thursday mornings in the Palmer Room, overlooking the mountains. Beginners are always welcome! You will learn simple techniques to balance your energy and transform any physical, mental or emotional concerns with ease and grace. You will be guided through the 4 healing elements of SFQ: • Energy Breathing • Mental Focus • Gentle Exercise • Sound Exercises are appropriate for all ages and can be performed standing, sitting or lying down. Feel free to bring cushion or blanket if you wish to practice sitting meditation on the floor. Chairs are also provided. Suggested donation $10 This practice is for anyone searching for: • Greater understanding of the way our body and the universe works • Community connection • Relief from pain, sickness, disease or injury • Relief from stress, anxiety, depression • More peace, awareness, love and joy in your life Qi~joy blessings and I hope to see you soon! Monday Morning Qigong Come experience and enjoy the beautiful, healing practice of Spring Forest Qigong with Darlene Abraham from 9:30 to 10:45am! This class is meditative and relaxing! Movements are gentle but energetically powerful! They can be done standing or sitting and are easily modified if needed! A seated, guided meditation of 10 - 15 minutes is a part of the practice. The beautiful sound of Tibetan and/or crystal bowls will be included. Questions? Email Darlene at [masked] What do you need to bring? Water is suggested; wear comfortable clothing (perhaps layers so you don't get overly cool during the meditation) and shoes for the movement practice; and a BIG smile! See you there! Where? Bring yoga mat, water bottle, bolster(if you have these items). This group is for experienced students. We will be developing a deeper sense of community as well as deepening your connection to yourself through the practice of Qi Gong.
