Pub Goers - The Goat - Pre Halloween Meetup & Fireworks Drinks

Hi Pub Goers,

Slightly odd meetup this one but I thought I'd put it out there anyway

I'm planning on going to the Fireworks Display in Verulamium Park (http://www.alban-arena.co.uk/events/verulamium-firework-spectacular/before going to Phil's Halloween Party on Sat. (http://www.meetup.com/Hertfordshire-Activity-and-Social-Group/events/137996942/

Anyone fancy joining me?

Phil's thing starts at 7.30, same time as the fireworks but if memory serves the fireworks take about 30 mins (ish) so I'll just pitch up after 8 (ish).

Of course, anyone not going to Phil's event can carry on wherever (In fact, I'll probably be around again 10.30ish, so might catch up with any souls that happen to be in a drinking establishment)

I plan to leave the Goat 7.15 sharp. I'm most distrustful of the weather so have decided to watch the fireworks from the hill just up from the park/Fighting Cocks Pub. That means ground based fireworks won't be visible but since 95% will be overhead I'm not that worried. This has advantages:

• 1) Easy walk to Phils event at the Chilli Bar

• 2) If it's raining 'piss'istantly I can stay in the pub

• 3) I won't need to buy a ticket for the fireworks

This map shows the route: http://tinyurl.com/osn4nge

Here's the website of  The Goat (http://www.goatinn.co.uk/). Always a good range of beers and the very dangerous 'Old Rosie" cider (7.3% - approach with caution :)

Here's a link to a location map for the Goat: http://tinyurl.com/nenoax2

Any problems finding me in the pub, phone/text me on[masked]

Cheers

Pete

p.s. I may bring sparklers which I believe are now outlawed by the St Albans Firework Police. What an anacist, eh!
