Granville Island Brewery has again invited us to a brewery tour and beer tasting event. They have been great hosts in the past and provide a great oportunity to view their ale being made. NOTE: We have implimented a new policy. We ask that all members attend at least one event in the next six months to remain as a member. We need members to participate to justify the costs.
British Columbia has an extensive number of British / English and Celtic Organizations. They include all those that have a connection to the England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Isle of Man, Cornwall and Republic of Ireland (Eire). They all share an interest to our membership. 1.) If you were born in the United Kingdom, 2.) You have a Heritage connection to the Great Britain or 3.) You just love to travel or have traveled and visited the British Isles. Here is your chance to meet others with common interests in the History, Heritage, Traditions, Customs and the foods of the British Isles. Hadi's is a fabulous restaurant with a loyal following and great food at reasonable prices. It is central with amply parking. Mark this date on your calendar and try to attend. Please note: We have implimented the policy that we are requesting that you attend at least one event every (6) six months to remain a member. The sponsors of the events contribute time and effort at their locations to accommodate us and it is only fair that we support them. Sara is specially making us a British Beef Stew and a Bangers and Mash luncheon that I have tried in the past and is exceptional delicious. NOTE: minumum attendance required is 30 diners.
Based on the success of the last number of pub nights, Judy, the pub manager has invited us to make our pub night a regular monthly event. Therefore on the second Tuesday of each month we will hold our pub night. We hope there will be more male participates because at the last few we held there, the attractive ladies members way outnumbered the men.
