Hi Everyone,
This meet up is dedicated to hosting board game/social deduction events in Fitzroy. Join if any of the following events are of interest to you:
Weekly Event:
1. Thursday Blood on the Clocktower - A social deduction game, where most players are good trying to find the few evil members amongst them.
Monthly Events:
1. Bookclub - 1st Wednesday of the month - We pick a book every month and discuss the book of the previous month. Completion not required, just a want to read and discuss. Specialty cocktails and wine pairing relating to book up for discussion will be available on the night.
2. Community Board Game Night - 3rd Wednesday of the month - Join a community of board gamers and play from Pause Menu’s library. Excellent for people new to Melbourne looking for a group and people to share this wonderful hobby.
Community Rules & Guidelines
By coming in to our board game nights you are agreeing to the community guidelines, which are as follows:
1. The venue allows BYOF (Bring Your Own Food), you can bring from home or app order to Pause Menu. However, apart from water you are not allow to bring in outside drinks. There is still a food menu in case you are wanting to grab a quick bite.
2.. We’re all here to have fun, to ensure that everyone has fun please be respectful when interacting with each other. We always describe you as a really welcoming group and we hope to continue to do so.
2. This is a friend making and 'sharing a hobby' type of event. We hope you make friends and meet new people. Please don’t think of this as a “singles” event. We don’t think of our events as a way to meet a partner/girlfriend/boyfriend/date/hookup.
3. Any harassment or bullying will not be tolerated. We will talk to you about any problems once but if problems persist beyond that conversation you won’t be welcome at Pause Menu. You get one chance to improve.
4. We are happy to let you finish a game in play but we would consider it a sign of respect to our staff if you avoid starting games that will run past “last call”.
5. If you come to Pause Menu outside of our events, please don’t invite yourself into other people’s games. There are people catching up with friends and just hanging out, not necessarily there to play games with other people.
If someone is making you uncomfortable, or not following our guidelines please let me (Sasa) and Brenton know and we will address it.
